Kevré Lawrence Hendricks is a respected musician, educator, military leader, and community servant from St. Croix, known as much for his character and integrity as for his professional achievements. Raised by an educator and a veteran-musician, he developed early values of discipline, service, and academic excellence that shaped his life’s work.
A highly accomplished performer and musical director, Kevré has earned 12 Road March titles and contributed significantly to Virgin Islands culture through Maestro Productions. His impact was formally honored in 2025 when the Crucian Christmas Festival Village was named “Maestro’s Musical Haven.”
For more than two decades, Kevré has been a transformative music educator, leading the St. Croix Educational Complex band program and mentoring students who now make up nearly the entire music-education workforce on the island.
In the Virgin Islands National Guard, he has served for 27 years and currently commands the 73rd Army Band, leading with distinction through ceremonial duties, community engagements, and disaster-response operations.
Despite his many accomplishments, Kevré’s greatest devotion is to his family—his wife, Marisha, and their children, Kylen and Kevré Jr. His legacy is defined not only by awards and titles, but by the generations he has inspired, the culture he has strengthened, and the example of service he continues to set for the Virgin Islands.
